Why do I need a maintenance fluid with Teflon?
After all, there are gun cleaners and preservatives in one. There is a wise saying that if something is for everything, it is for …. nothing.
The purpose of the remover is to wash away dirt and degrease the weapon. If you finish cleaning the gun and put it in the cupboard, you may be surprised after a while – your equipment will be as red as a squirrel and getting rid of rust is really time-consuming.
After the remover, a maintenance and repair fluid comes into play.
Riflecx, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, uses genuine Telfon® from DuPont and not Chinese substitutes. This ensures that your weapon is covered with a top quality product to protect it from rust.
If you need to put the gun in the cabinet, spray it with Riflecx preservative and repair fluid and then leave it until the moisture evaporates leaving a layer of Teflon that acts as an anti-corrosion agent.
If you carry the weapon with you, wipe it gently after using the liquid. The protective coating will still remain and your weapon will shine like straight off the shop shelf.
Genuine Teflon increases abrasion resistance, resists acids and alkalis and protects your weapon from freezing.
Directions for use:
Apply the preparation to all parts of the weapon. Excess liquid can be removed with a cloth or compressed air.
The Teflon® layer protects metal and plastic parts by creating the best available protective barrier against wear. The Teflon® coating is abrasion resistant – Teflon® has an extremely low coefficient of friction. The formulation provides corrosion protection and protects against freezing, the effects of water, acids and alkalis.
